Simethicone (Filix 110)
Simethicones are used as anti foam agents in the manufacture of drugs. Their use in Pharmaceuticals is to combat intestinal gas. Its features include

Applications
Pharmaceuticals combating dyspepsia like hyperacidity and flatulence, offered in different dosage forms like Simethicone Tablets, Oral suspensions as defined by various pharmacopoeia. (IP/USP/EP/BP). The effectiveness of Simethicone as an anti foam agent against abdominal foams has been universally accepted. Simethicones have gained their position due to their chemical inertness and their neutral behaviour.

Simethicone Emulsion 30% ( Simul 73)
Simethicone Emulsion USP is a water dilutable, non-ionic emulsion containing 30% Simethicone USP by weight. It is highly stable over a broad pH range. It is used in liquid antacids & antiflatulents and also used as a component of endoscopic diagnostic aids. Its features include

Dimethicone ( DMPS)
Dimethicones are used in Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic applications. It is a Clear, Colorless and Odorless liquid.

Applications

As an excipient Dimethicones in pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications can provide long lasting lubricant, smooth feel and spreads easily. Dimethicones have gained their position due to their inertness.
