It is used as pharmaceutical intermediates and pesticide intermediate. It is a colorless fuming liquid with stimulating odor. Our another product benzophenone is a white flaky crystal. It is soluble in alcohol, ether, chloroform, organic solvents and monomers. It is insoluble in water. It acts as free radical photoinitiator. It is mainly used for the free radical UV curing system such as coatings, inks and adhesives. In pharmaceutical industry, it is used to produce bicyclic piperidine, benzoic tropicamide hydrobromide, diphenhydramine hydrochloride and phenytoin. This product also serves as styrene polymerization inhibitor.
