Profile: Prophylaxis is a manufacturer of stable chlorine dioxide. Our chlorine dioxide is used to treat municipal drinking water. It is a water disinfectant that is an alternative to chlorine and it is also used in water purification treatment. Chlorine dioxide does not create trihalomethane, which is a carcinogenic by-product. Our product completely eliminates and treats contaminants such as viruses, water bacteria, giardia, botulism cryptosporidium and cholera. Chlorine dioxide does not react with ammonia, nitrogenous compounds or precursors to form chloroform. Chlorine dioxide is used in water industries, dairy industries, fruit & vegetable industries, sea food industries, meat industries, poultry industries and in cooling towers. Chlorine dioxide is also used to retain freshness of milk & milk products, to reduce microorganism load, to decrease mortality ratio & to increase the weight of chicken and for floor cleaning purposes.
