Profile: Phoenix Plastics L.P. designs and manufactures engineered grade additives used in plastic industries. Our Cel-Span® 101 is a 100% active (powder or pellet) internal lubricant processing aid with anti-static properties that is incorporated into the resin. Our product eliminates the need for an external mold release agent and improves resin flow, dispersion, & other resin additives (reinforcements, fillers, & pigments). Our product also reduces the cycle time. The use of Cel-Span® 101 will not have any adverse effects on the physical properties. Cel-Span® 101 internal lubricant is effective within a range of 1 to 10 parts per 1000 resin excluding reinforcements such as pigments and fillers. A high amount of filler may require a higher percentage of internal lubricant. The internal lubricant may increase the melt flow index (MFI). Gaia™ grain guard is a compounded additive with an essential oil used to provide protection against insect infestation of grains, nuts, and seeds. This unique product eliminates the fumigation step and other dangerous chemicals that are used to store farm foodstuffs. The aroma of the Gaia™ grain guard additive creates an invisible barrier that repels insects from the plastic bag and works as an insect growth regulator (IGR).
