Profile: Inca Health Co. manufactures natural botanical extracts from herbs found in the Peruvian rainforest and Andes mountains. We offer maca or lepidium meyeni, which is a nutritional tuber. Maca is an adaptogen and even though maca is not of the ginseng family it shares many similarities to ginseng. Our other raw materials include lutein, paprika, boldo and yakon. Boldo is primarily used as a form of herbal medicine, mainly in the cure of gallbladder ailments. It is rich in phytochemicals. Peumus boldo has at least 17 known alkaloids.
