Profile: Imerys Performance Minerals supplies white minerals, extenders and functional fillers to the polymer and coatings markets. We have Opacilite & trade;, which is a whitened calcined kaolin produced by a rapid heating process for paint & coatings. Imerseal™ is an ultra fine calcium carbonate for use in moisture curing sealant systems. Our products include calcium carbonates, clays, kaolins, calcined kaolins, feldspar and mica. Our particle processing solutions include fine particle processing, scale-up solutions, toll processing and nano material production. We supply mineral additives to the plastics and film industries including calcined kaolin, surface treated calcined kaolin, calcium carbonate and coated calcium carbonate. We have developed Barrisurf™, which is a hyper-platy, nano-dimensional thickness crystals barrier kaolins that create a tortuous coating structure to resist penetration.
