Profile: Fluoromed, L.P. manufactures high purity perfluorocarbons (PFCs) for use in medical applications. We offer fluorocarbons in the range of perfluoropropane, perfluorobutane, perfluoropentane, perfluorohexane, perfluorooctane, perfluorodecalin, perfluoroperhydrophenanthrene and perfluorooctylbromide. We supply a range of perfluorocarbons for use in critical and medical applications. Perfluorocarbons are used and studied in various medical applications, such as image enhancement, blood substitutes, organ preservation, liquid ventilation, ophthalmic & non-aqueous drug delivery. Perfluoropropane is packaged as a compressed liquid gas in aluminum gas cylinders, in lots of 10-28Kg, suitable for use in finished pharmaceutical & as a medical device component. Our chemicals are used as active pharmaceutical ingredients, drug processing aids, finished medical-devices, biological processing reagents and medical-device components.
