Profile: Expancel deals with microspheres. Our products include pulp chemicals, paper chemicals and specialty products. Our pulp chemicals include bleaching chemicals, non-wood bleaching, chelating agents and fluff pulp additives. Our sodium chlorate crystals are converted into chlorine dioxide. These chlorate crystals are used for ECF (Elementally Chlorine Free) bleaching of chemical pulp. Our Dissolvine® chelating agents are used to remove unwanted metal ions and de-activate any remaining ones. The amine and carboxylic acid are combined in one molecule to form aminopolycarboxylates. It forms more stable chelates with metal ions than other types of chelating agents. Our expancel microsphere plastic shell softens, and its volume increases by more than 40 times. These microspheres are available in unexpanded and expanded form. They are used as injection-molded PVC soles for footwear.
