Profile: EPDM Coatings LLC offers ethylene propylene diene monomer chemicals. The EPDM is excellent for both new construction and roof replacement. It is capable of withstanding temperature variations from -62F to 300F without cracking/deteriorating. It offers high tensile strength, extreme elongation capabilities and is generally compatible with other materials used in most roofing applications. Our EPDM liquid rubber and rubber roof has a long history of superior performance in hoses, molded products, roof leaks repair, tires & roofing membranes. The product is very stable and the resulting characteristics of liquid EPDM and liquid roof rubber such as flexibility, weatherability & chemical resistance are determined by it. The EPDM is essentially immune to the effects of ultraviolet & ozone and is one of the best water barriers known. The EPDM rubber also has the broadest temperature tolerance, and is not water-soluble even in the uncured state. Liquid EPDM rubber can withstand boiling water/live steam and is inherently UV & ozone stable. The product is safer to use because of its higher flash point and the two component packaging permits extended storage at higher temperatures than liquid neoprene. The non polar characteristic of the EPDM also gives it advantages over neoprene in saltwater environments as well as better resistance to cathodic disbondment. The liquid rubber has poor resistance to oils, fats, waxes and aliphatic solvents but possesses very good resistance to ketone solvents, alcohol, polar compounds, salts, most acids up to 50% concentration, alkalies & water.
