It is a colorless and thick liquid with a sweet lilac like odor. It is easily soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in water and glycerol, & very stable in base. It is widely used in making ink, chemical, light, medicine and telecommunication industries. Pine oil is a kind of terpine, compounded from turpentine by neutral reaction. It is a light yellowish or brown yellowish oily liquid. It is widely used in flotation processes of metal mine and non-metal.
